1. What kind of servers are offered as part of the package?
Typical servers are 1U's using super micro motherboards and RAID ready
SATA drives. They have 64 bit PCI-X expansion slots (require rizor cards).
These servers are best of the breed servers. If you needs will not "fit" into a Typical server, can can offer a custom solution.
2. Are servers monitored by you, or we have to do our own monitoring?
We provide monitoring of servers for ping availability and bandwidth. If at
anytime a server becomes unavailable, you will be notified automatically.
Additionally, if your OS becomes unusable while you are configuring it, we
will reinstall it for free once per month.
3. Will I have an access to my bandwidth graphs?
Yes, you will have password protected access to our graphing system which
monitors bandwidth.
4. What kind of network equipment is used?
You will get a dedicated 10/100Mb/s switch port on our Cisco 6509
router/switch.
5. What supervisor engine has your router/switch?
We use Sup720-3bx with 1 GB RAM to run our 6509, the top of the line (Cisco
doesn't have anything more powerful for 65xx router/switches)
6. Can I get 1 Gb/s port?
We are not currently offering 1Gb/s as part of our standard offering. We
can, however, provide a custom solution for 1Gb/s via our " ASK A QUESTION" link on the home page.
7. Are you a reseller from somebody else's data center/hosting company?
We own and operate our data centers.
8. Is power UPS-ed?
We own our UPS and it is maintained via DPS.
9. Do you have a generator?
Yes, we have a generator that will allow us to run indefinitely in case of a
grid power-failure.
10. Do you have redundant links?
Yes, we have multiple Tier 1 providers each with it's own local loop.
11. I know many companies are connecting 20 servers into one switch and then that switch into the main one. Are you doing the same?
You are referring to a core distribution method recommended by Cisco for a
general type of network. The Very High Bandwidth services we provide work
better if the servers are plugging directly into core router. Using this
method, you can use 100% of the port we've dedicated to you.
12. Are you ready for IP v.6?
Our equipment (Cisco 6509 with sup720-3bl) unlike other equipment supports IP v.6 in hardware, so we will one of the first who will be able to support it with a very high performance.
13. What is "Full YouTube like package"?
You will get a preconfigured system with automatic user sign-up creation, admin section, automatic conversion to Ipod and SONY PSP video formats and much more. See our demo at http://www.videowebtown.com and of course you can ask us more via the " ASK A QUESTION" link on our home page.
14. What does "recurring 10%" mean?
Recurring means, that as long as customer that you've brought is with us, you'll be getting 10% per month. We have some customers that are more than 10 years with us. You can imagines return on your investment in term of spending your time on bringing customers to us.
15. Can I use your hosting service for something other than video streaming?
Absolutely! VoIP servers, file sharing servers, powerful game servers - they
are all welcome. Any service that requires low latency and high bandwidth
are well suited our infrastructure.
16. Is Cisco 6509 is the only router/switch in your network infrastructure?
No, we have other Cisco 6xxx setups using the Sup720-3bxl sup boards in some
of our other offerings. If you interested in our other offerings or a
custom solution, contact us via the " ASK A QUESTION" link on the home page.
17. Do you have a raised floor environment in your data center?
Yes, all of our data centers we raised floors.

Yes, we have 5 unused pairs of dark fiber coming in to our data center.

19. How long would it take to light up the dark fiber at your place?
It typically takes 2 weeks or less to light up a fiber with one of our
existing peers.
20. What is the deal with "Provided server can be replaced for free by any server provided by customer"?
Our servers are capable of utilizing 100 % of 100 Mb/s port for streaming purposes (for both, WMS and Flash services). In some cases customers may be willing to put some data base applications with some unusual business logic, that requires a lot of CPU power, or memory, or disk space. We are ready to accommodate all these requirements, but we are not in hardware business and we know that it is much cheaper to lease from somebody and put this equipment at our data enter, than ask us to come up with the hardware. If you need help and ready to pay for it we can help you out spec out, to purchase and configure almost any configuration for very high bandwidth services. Some of our existing customers are using 20 TB drives subsystems, 8 CPU servers, 12 TB NAS/SAN subsystems and much more. Please contact us at " ASK A QUESTION" at the home page.
21. You've mention that server has to fit into 1U. What if I have bigger server?
Please contact us at " ASK A QUESTION" at the home page regarding this question.
22. What is IPMI card?
IPMI card allows to monitor and reboot server remotely to see the health of the servers and to be able to reboot the server if OS becomes unresponsive. The controlling software will be provided for free to our customers.
23. Where from I can download IPMI software?
24. How often servers can go out of order?
You never know, but based on our experience that hardware that we are using has much higher MTBF than a lot of other companies are using now - if cheap power supply can fail every 3 month, our hardware can work several years before statistically and component will fail.
25. Do you do audio streaming?
26. Do you have anything ready for backup services?
27. Any other services?
28. Any money back guarantee?
29. Is your company a one man shop like a lot of others?

LATEST INFO means LATEST INFO ;). Whatever latest info that we think may be interesting for our customers or any third parties (and maybe even our employees) we will be publishing on our website.
36. Would you have a paid link on your web site for promoting services of your customers?
We are looking into this option at this time.
